SHOULDER INTERNAL ROTATION

 

 

Exercise 1

Holding a stick in both hands gently move your arm towards your tummy and return the arm to neutral. This is a passive or active assisted exercise depending on the amount of effort you put in.

Passively the good arm does all the work, as an active assisted exercise the painful/operated arm does some of the work.

 

 

Exercise 2

Hold onto a towel or stick and use the good arm to move the operated arm up your back as in drying the back. Do not tug at the arm and perform this gently. This is an active assisted exercise.

Exercise 3

Stand with your arm by your side , elbow flexed to 90 degrees sideways onto a door frame resist movement towards your tummy by pressing against the wall.
This is an isometric exercise

 

 

 

 

Exercise 4

With your arm tucked into your side, elbow flexed to 90 degrees, resist movement towards your tummy with the other hand.
This is an isometric exercise.


 

 

Exercise 5

With a piece of theraband fixed to a door handle, elbow bent to 90 degrees, pull the band across the tummy .
This is a resistive exercise.
